Planners with 00 Clarks and Yozuris will certainly do the trick. Don't forget to work a jig through the whole water column. The 007s and Cripple Herrings are also tearing them up.

Bonito have made a great showing at Divers Rock. Still time to nab a few before they disappear. The Cripple Herrings and 007s again.

Spectacular King Mackerel bite in the In the 12-17 mile range. Mostly 8-10 lbers. Dead minnows drifted or slow troll with light tackle is a blast with these size fish.

Have spotted several large Cobia making their migration. Just too finicky to take the hook.

Red Drum are just starting to spread out over the inshore waters.

Bluefish have settled in for their long summer stay.
Bonito action was hot and heavy off New River Inlet last weekend. Casting and jigging gold and chrome diamond jigs around breaking fish and bait marks produced most of the strikes from these speedy little tuna relatives. Red drum are still feeding in the sloughs along Masonboro Island where they’ve been schooled up most of the winter. Anglers can spot the fish while running along the backside of the surf on a calm day, then hook up by casting 27MR Mirrolures and Gulp baits into the schools.
